It is a sophisticated Laboratory based technology where a women is injected with medicines to stimulate the ovaries. Injections, which are not painful is given for 10 to 12 days and Ovum pick up is performed after HCG/other injections under anaesthesia.

The eggs are cultured in the laboratory with husband/donor semen and embryos are produced.

These embryos are either transferred in fresh cycle or kept frozen as it is for future transfer (FET).

If lucky you may have more than 1 shot at FET, provided you have excess egg.
