This is a process where a patient is initially investigated for the cause of infertility. If found suitable, she is given stimulation dose of medicines for egg maturation. She is followed up by doing scans to find out the exact date for ovulation.

When ready, she is given HCG injection for the egg to rupture. Husband’s semen is prepared in the laboratory for impregnation, while medicines are given to support if there is a pregnancy.

Success rate is around 15% to 20%. Can be repeated at least 3 times.
